Leading Personal Injury Law Firm Acquisition

Sokolove Law is a pioneer in legal marketing and one of the largest personal injury law firms in the United States. In 2013, its founder sought to retire but encountered a unique challenge: the firm’s success had made it so valuable that few prospective buyers could finance the acquisition through conventional means.

Recognizing the opportunity, Andrew Clark, Founder of Eastern Asset Management, sourced and structured a highly innovative asset-based loan that enabled the acquirer to finance 98% of the purchase price—delivering a remarkable 49:1 leverage ratio. $100 million Advance on a Single Case

A consortium of top tier law firms had successfully litigated a case against one of the world’s largest oil companies. The case settled after more than ten years of litigation, yet the law firms faced additional delays between the settlement of the case and the distribution of case proceeds.

The attorneys came to Andrew Clark seeking an advance.
